HEATED CLASSES*
-
60 / 90-minutes | heated
The 26+2 yoga class is a sequence of 26 postures and 2 breathing exercises practiced in a heated room. The sequence originates from Gosh’s Yoga College of India and was developed to maintain health and youth by stimulating the sympathetic and parasympathetic nervous systems. The postures are organized specifically to create balance within the body and increase the flow of energy. The class is designed for all levels, from beginners to experienced practitioners. Each pose is held for 6 to 60 seconds and typically repeated twice to allow for deeper and fuller expressions of the posture. The sequence includes standing, balancing, and floor postures, and the two breathing exercises are incorporated into the series. The benefits of practicing 26+2 yoga include increased flexibility, strength, and balance within the body, improved circulation, and reduced stress. The class is often described as a moving meditation and can lead to mental clarity and relaxation.

Yin Yoga invites you to slow down and create space for stillness while nourishing joints, ligaments, tendons, and fascia. This class is generally practiced on the floor, using as many props as needed to create as little effort while holding poses. Poses are held for 2-5 minutes allowing joints and fascia to release. This class will complement your other yoga practice and will aid in opening and releasing areas in need of more stretching.

60-minutes | non-heated
Vinyasa Flow yoga is a style of yoga that emphasizes the sequential movement between postures, coordinated with and guided by deliberate breath. The practice becomes a moving meditation that creates strength, freedom, and fluidity in the body and mind. The class moves from pose to pose with each held for no more than five to eight breaths. Expect a fully balanced class of forward bending, twists, and backbends with opportunity for inversions. The beauty of Vinyasa yoga is the variety. There is no standard sequence in Vinyasa yoga, so the style, pace, and intensity will all vary. The term vinyasa refers to the alignment of movement with the breath, so although you may also hold poses for a few breaths, you’ll move from one pose to the next using inhalation and exhalation. The class is suitable for all levels, from beginners to experienced practitioners.
